Eric Smith

Eric Smith is a clean energy entrepreneur who led Keystone Tower Systems from it’s founding through scale up and recent exit. Keystone developed and commercialized a new manufacturing process for producing towers for utility scale wind turbines. Keystone’s spiral welded towers are the only non-traditional towers approved for use by the largest wind turbine manufacturer and utilities in the US. Prior to Keystone, Eric ran a consulting business assisting early-stage energy startups and their investors evaluate and prototype new energy technologies. Eric has over 100 patents issued globally and holds graduate degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from MIT.
