Rodrigo Esponda

Rodrigo Esponda is a seasoned tourism professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He has served as Managing Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board since 2016, spearheading efforts in marketing, communication, and branding. Under his leadership, Los Cabos became the first Mexican destination to adopt a public-private funding model for international promotion. He also serves on the Mexican government’s Tourism Diplomacy Council, advising on best practices for promoting the country's brand internationally. Rodrigo's career includes a 16-year tenure at the Mexico Tourism Board and a role as a Professor of Tourism Planning at NYU. He is a regular contributor to important national newspapers in Mexico, such as El Financiero, Excelsior, Dinero, and other travel publications.
