Jeremy Shipp

Writer
Disney

Jeremy Shipp has written for numerous shows, including Disney Branded Television's Firebuds, a show about the adventures of a team of kids and their talking vehicle sidekicks. His contributions include the episode "Cleft Hood," inspired by his cleft-affected son, which features a car with a "cleft hood” (voiced by his son) in a story that furthers positive facial difference representation and showcases the power of empathy. A passionate advocate for positive media representation, Shipp recently wrote an op-ed for the Huffington Post emphasizing the importance of not associating villains with facial differences and scars. With over a decade of experience as a writer for animation, his other credits include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Emmy-Award-Winning Rapunzel's Tangled Adventures.
