Carla Schultz

Carla Schultz farms with her husband and 4 kids, and parents (family) in Michigan, surrounded by the Great Lakes and a variety of wildlife. They grow soybeans, corn, wheat, black beans, cattle and hogs. She and her husband also have an online and retail farm store, known as Eight Plates Farm, where they sell beef and pork cuts directly to consumers. If that doesn't keep them busy enough, they recently built a barn house from an existing timber frame barn that was on one of the farm properties. She has a passion for agriculture, staying sustainable for the next generation, and also connecting with others on the importance of agriculture in everyone's life.
