Chamieka House-Osuya (she/her) is the founder and CEO of The Snack Sack, a mutual aid organization that has provided $1.6 million to 875 marginalized people and families since 2020. Chamieka obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Policy and a dual Master’s degree in Foundations of Community Engagement and Education from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her Master’s thesis, Exploration Of Black Birthing Parents: Implications For Community Education, investigates Black joy and the experiences of Black birthing parents in the US medical system. Chamieka has been featured on MSNBC, Teen Vogue, BBC, and Daily Mail for her community work, and commitment to advocating for underserved communities.
