Sara Lazarus founded Faded Jeans Technology to bring high quality security and IT solutions to organizations of all sizes. Faded Jeans Technology delivers effective cybersecurity and IT practices enabling customers to focus on their core mission and thrive in today's digital age.

Sara loves to share what she learned during her time at leading tech companies to help others build and refine their security, IT, and platform engineering programs. She is passionate about implementing practical, business enabling security solutions and building psychologically safe high performing technical teams.

Prior to founding Faded Jeans Technology, Sara was the Head of Trust and Security at an early stage fintech where she grew the security, cloud engineering, and corporate IT teams from a green field into a happy and high achieving workforce. Previously, Sara was responsible for a world class 24 x 7 x 365 Computer Security Incident Response Team protecting Salesforce’s most secure environments.

Earlier in her career, Sara led a team safeguarding government client networks as part of a Managed Detection and Response service provider. As an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University, Sara taught a course on the foundational elements of cyber security. Sara began her career as a business technology analyst with Deloitte Consulting, subsequently working as a Project Management Professional focusing on technology portfolio and performance management for US Department of Defense clients before joining Raytheon's Cyber Exploitation Unit.

Sara holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Maryland. In her free time, Sara enjoys seasonally alternating between skiing snowy mountains and surfing ocean waves.
