James Cadogan

James Cadogan is Executive Director of the National Basketball Social Justice Coalition, a 501(c)(4) organization leading the NBA family’s work to advance social justice. Previously, he was vice president of criminal justice at Arnold Ventures and Director of the Thurgood Marshall Institute at NAACP LDF. Earlier, Cadogan served 8 years in the Obama Administration, including at the U.S. Department of Justice as Counselor to Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Sr. Counselor in the Civil Rights Division. He received an A.B. from Princeton and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
