Dick Oranja

Dick Oranja is a high-level healthcare expert with 20+ years of experience in healthcare business development, microfinance, and healthcare startups. He is renowned for building teams that exceed corporate expectations. He was in the pioneer team that set up Crown Healthcare Ltd, East, and Central Africa’s largest medical device company. He later worked in various senior roles in Crown Healthcare, the latest role being Head of Sales and Marketing.
He helped set up Trivitron Healthcare Africa (THA), a medical device joint venture between the IFC-owned private equity firm, Investment Funds for Health in Africa (IFHA) and Trivitron Healthcare Public Limited (India) as Cluster head in charge of East and Central Africa. Dick helped set up THA direct offices in Kenya, and Uganda and recruited distributors in Tanzania, Rwanda, and Ethiopia.
Dick is currently the Executive Director of Hatch Technologies, a nonprofit organization that originated from NEST360 and shares its bold commitment to reducing facility-based neonatal mortality in sub-Saharan Africa by 50%. Hatch provides comprehensive distribution and support services for high-quality medical devices to assist newborn care units throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
