Ilsa Mroz

Ilsa Mroz is the Senior Manager of the Space Systems division at the Aerospace Industries Association. In this role, she works with AIA members to support and advocate for relevant industry issues in civil, commercial, and national security space. She also oversees policy initiatives on sustainable space operations, environmental protections from space, and orbital debris management.
Ilsa is also the Program Manager with the Institute of Space Commerce, where she directs the Institute's fellowship and scholarship programs for space professionals and students. Here, she supports the Institute's scholars as they seek to accelerate the growth of a viable commercial space economy through policy, research, and academics.
Previously, Ilsa served as a policy intern with the City of Albuquerque and with the New Mexico State Legislature, where she focused on strengthening and supporting the state’s commercial aerospace industry. Additionally, she worked with the Virginia Air and Space Science Center, where she assisted in bringing STEM education and mentorship initiatives to diverse communities.
Ilsa holds an M.A in Global Security Studies from Johns Hopkins University, a B.A in Political Science and business management from the University of New Mexico, and a Certificate in Flight Training from San Diego Miramar College.
