Beth Miyares

Beth Miyares is Senior Vice President of Comedy Development at Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group. In this role, she manages day-to-day development of the studio’s comedy slate across a variety of platforms. She reports to Jim Donnelly, Executive Vice President of Comedy Development at Universal Television.

Miyares joined Universal Television in 2020 and has since been involved in the development of several hit comedies, including the Emmy® Award-winning “Hacks” (Max) as well as the fan-favorite series “Loot” (Apple TV+), “Primo” (Amazon Freevee) and “Lopez vs Lopez” (NBC).
 
Before her time at the studio, Miyares was Senior Vice President of Drama Development and Production at Fox Broadcasting, where her credits included “Gotham,” “Fringe,” “Glee,” “Prison Break” and “The O.C.” Prior to that, she was Vice President of Drama Development at CBS TV Studios, where she was responsible for pilot development and production as well as series transition for “Hawaii Five-O,” “Blue Bloods,” “Elementary,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Reign.”
 
Miyares has a bachelor’s degree in English from Northwestern University. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
