Betsy Hilliard

Betsy Hilliard is the Chief Science Officer at Valkyrie, an AI, ML, and Knowledge Engineering firm. She has deep experience in several verticals including federal and defense, consumer hardware products, financial services, and online ad auction markets. Scientifically, she specializes in graph-based machine learning, optimization, Reinforcement Learning, and recommendation systems. Previously, Betsy has worked at USAA Bank, Google, Yahoo!, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Betsy completed her graduate work in Computer Science at Brown University. She studied Computer Science and Economics at Brandeis University. She lives in Austin, TX with her husband and toddler.
