Jan Dieleman

Jan is the president of Cargill’s ocean transportation business based in Geneva, Switzerland. Sustainable shipping is a top priority and he is currently leading his team to take tangible action to scale up solutions in order to reach the International Maritime Organization goals (reaching net zero by or close to 2050).Across the sector, Jan is a respected advocate for sustainable shipping, actively supporting reduced emissions, better vessel environmental performance, safer working conditions, and a more diverse workforce. In 2016, he became a non-executive director of the Carbon War Room, an organization that focuses on the decarbonization of maritime transportation. He is chair of the Global Maritime Forum, chair of the RightShip’s board & advisory board member of Lloyd's Register.
