Amber Soja

Dr. Soja’s specialty is in Wildland Fire Science. She focuses on using Earth Observations to explore the dynamic interactive relationships that exist between fire regimes, the biosphere, weather, smoke, atmospheric transport and air quality and health. She has almost 3 decades of experience and has taken part in and led numerous interdisciplinary, national and international field campaigns. Amber is proud to have worked to enhance the use of data in stakeholder and partner agencies, and she has an infinity for guiding Earth Observations towards ‘usable’ information for sustained benefit in partnership with the public- and private-sector. She is grateful for the opportunity to lead teams of scientists in transferring technology and data products to partner agencies.
