John Haynes is the Program Manager for Health and Air Quality program area at NASA, managing programs in the physical sciences such as meteorology, geography, remote sensing, and oceanography. He serves as the Co-Chair of the Group on Earth Observations Health Community of Practice and Earth Observations for Health Initiative. John is also the applications lead for NASA’s TEMPO, MAIA, and AOS satellite missions. He has received a NASA Aviation Safety and Security Program Award, two NASA Group Achievement Awards, a One NASA Award, a 2017 Team Excellence Award, and NASA's 2020 Exceptional Service Medal. He holds a master’s degree in meteorology from the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor’s in meteorology from the University of South Alabama.
