David Johnson

David is a Principal Solution Architect at security operations provider, Expel. Since joining the team, David has worked alongside InfoSec sales teams, supporting as a technical advisor to potential and existing customers to find solutions to complex problems. Before Expel, David spent roughly 25 years as a contributing member of the InfoSec community since the age of 12. David has defined his primary mission outside of work as teaching InfoSec to the general public, organizing events, providing advice, and leading the local InfoSec community. David has a focus on InfoSec education, founding two Hackerspaces, and a Maker/InfoSec conference. He has also previously served as the elected organizer for DC401, and RI2600 groups, and co-captain of the Code for America Rhode Island chapter.
