Sam Jordan

Sam Jordan is the Manager of Consulting at the Future Today Institute and leads research and insights for the Future of Computing and Technology vertical. She is known for her plausible optimism — an approach to forecasting that helps organizations understand the plausible future to build what is desirable. She authors the Future of Computing, Future of Space, and Future of the Metaverse books in FTI’s annual tech trend report. Prior to joining FTI, Sam was the CEO and co-founder of TrovBase, a secure data discovery and analysis sharing platform. In this capacity, Sam engaged with the open science community, advocating for better data management practices to address challenges in scientific replication. Sam also draws on extensive industry experience from her time at IBM, where she helped large retail and distribution companies modernize their IT architectures. She shares her strategic foresight expertise with the next generation of leaders as a guest lecturer in the Strategic Foresight MBA course at the NYU Stern School of Business.
