Kitty Liao

Kitty Liao is founder and CEO of Ideabatic, an award-winning social enterprise tackling last-mile vaccine-cold chain issues. The SMILE vaccine cooling system she designed and developed has won 18 innovation awards globally. She is an engineer and physicist specializing in cryogenics and multi-disciplinary systems, user-centered design, vaccine cold-chain in hard-to-reach and remote areas, design for low-resource settings and prototyping. She was a CERN fellow working on cryogenics superconducting cavity diagnostics for part of an upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), worked on cryogenics systems at the UK's National Physical Laboratory and Brown University.
