Mark Huang

Mark Huang is co-founder of SeaAhead, one of the earliest ocean focused venture studio platforms in the US, formed out of the realization that early-stage ocean startups lacked access to support infrastructure and funding. Mark co-founded SeaAhead in 2018, seeking to overlap his maritime, cleantech and public sector experience believing that the time is now for STEM based entrepreneurship to ‘go-out-sea’. In 2020, SeaAhead partnered with New England Aquarium to launch BlueSwell, the East Coast’s first dedicated bluetech incubator, in which Mark is a vital team organizer of. In addition to SeaAhead, Mark is a Board of Director at Tern, an urban mobility company headquartered in Taipei, and a US Director at Alfanar, the only venture philanthropy entity focused on the Arab world.
