Luke Ritchie is Chief of Strategic Partnerships at Reactional Music and Creative Technology Advisor for the San Francisco Symphony. Reactional Music is a music start-up that has created a rules-based music engine for games, opening up music personalisation, in-game purchase and a faster and more efficient method to create and prototype music for games developers: https://reactionalmusic.com/ At the SF Symphony, Luke works directly with their Music Director Esa-Pekka Salonen to devise new artistic projects that use technology to connect the Symphony with new audiences beyond the concert hall: https://www.sfsymphony.org/

Prior to these roles, he worked at the Philharmonia Orchestra (2014-21), leading its Digital department on several cutting-edge projects including large-scale immersive installations, and touring musical trucks. He began working in VR in early 2015 and created four films, three of he directed. In 2019, he worked as Exec Producer on Dream, a live theatrical performance in Unreal in partnership with Royal Shakespeare Company, Marshmallow Laser Feast, Manchester International Festival, Punchdrunk, Intel, Magic Leap and Epic Games. Luke is also a singer and songwriter, having recorded and released several records both with his sister Charlotte Ritchie and on his own solo work, with artists such as Hannah Peel and Nico Muhly.
