Lauren Schwendimann

Lauren Schwendimann is the Head of UX Design for Waymo One, where she leads a team of designers who built a fully autonomous ride-hailing service from scratch. Lauren and her team focus on building trust between riders and autonomous vehicles, and creating an experience that feels both comfortable and safe. Before joining Waymo as a UX Design Lead for Rider Experience in 2018, Lauren spent more than 11 years at Motorola where she led a team responsible for user experience design, visual design and content strategy for mobile products. She has a BA in Communications from Northwestern University and a Master’s in Human-Centered Communication Design from the Institute of Design.
