I’ve been working in video tech industry since 2000, at Hantro/On2 Technologies (yes, Google acquired On2) I lead the product management for our video codec product line, companies like Broadcom, Qualcomm and Mediatek licensed our products. www.webmproject.org was the next big thing, as a product manager for WebM hardware at Google, my role was to make sure streaming services like YouTube and Netflix had the VP9 hardware support in devices to successfully deploy VP9. I had my hands on Google Stadia as well, as a Stadia audio/video streaming product manager. I’m currently working as product manager for Google Open Codecs team, focusing on codec products such as AV1, AV2 and AVIF.
